I just finished my PMB's (exam) and now its holiday!
Yay! I am currently talking to my cousin and he is bored, hmm so am I. My heart has been hurting now-a-days and I don't know why. Oh well.. nevermind that. It's 2:06 in the morning and I haven't slept yet. Even Trey, well since he's out watching the soccer match on tv at a restaurant. Things I haven't told you were: 1. I can't talk to Harry 2. stay away from the cousins that are to close to me and 3. it is a must that we should work out after PMB's and come back to school slim.
WEIRD RIGHT! I know. I mean I can't even talk to my own bestfriend. GEEZ!. I am now off to bed since I have nothing in my mind left. I miss it:( Everything is changing in my life now. Fred is now long gone and now it's just me and trey. We're all getting the house ready for Hari Raya Aidil Fitri and I can't wait to see the house when its done. Right now, I'm talking to harry on MSN. Telling him how I missed talking to him and how I never came online when he waited for me. Anyways, I'm at the living room and doing nothing what so ever, just watching uncle joe paint the boarders on the wall. Ergh, the smell hurts my nose. I feel like running too the bathroom and take a shower again. WHATEVER! *laughs* I'm talking nonsence.

We're cool- page 6

I slept t 12:30 am and I was really tired, listened to Michael Jackson's song ' you are not alone' and I felt calm and relaxed. I woke up again, noticing that the song thriller was on, ' now wonder I had that in my dream' I thought to myself, I switched off the ipod and tired to sleep again but I couldn't. I turned around and saw Peaches on the phone with her boyfriend. It was funny, you see all they do is talk lovey-dovey then they get mad at each other for saying the wrong things... I mean, I don't do that as much to mine. It's 3:42 am and I can't get back to sleep. Sorry I haven't been doing my story updates lately, been busy studying for mock exams. STRESSED OUT HERE. "Ari, sleep" says Peaches, " Hmm, yeah hold on I'm about to finish this page"I replied.
I just need to know what to type right now and yet someone came in the room, " Is Peaches asleep?" asked Binxes. Then Peaches started to tell Binxes the story about her boyfriend saying "BOOBS", seriously I mean whatever they talk about he MUST have something going on with his English. Plus you know that he's Indonesian. I'm now listening to Binxes and Peaches talking about Roy and Jake and such. Damn, I can't stop laughing about Roy. Seriously, he is just so weird and funny when he speaks in Indon. Shit! it's 3:50 and I can't sleep!!! MUMMY HELP ME!

We're cool - page 5

I woke up at 12:30 and I don't feel tired for some reason. I actually slept at 9:30 am, which was funny. I'm watching wanted and I think it still rocks, COME ON PEOPLE! WAKE UP HERE!! WE GOT ALOT OF THINGS TO WATCH BUT THIS MOVIE IS AWESOME!. I forgot to tell you guys about the Transformers movie? well Megan fox is hot!! yet she's a man. laughing.
Anyways, I sang long way to go and call U out by Cassie ventura just now and trust me I suck so bad. Well it's a good thing I didn't video myself and post it up on YouTube. Now that would be a classic funniness.
wait, wait... I love the part where Fox kisses the Gibson guy in front of his ex-girlfriend. SERIOUSLY THAT WAS AWESOME!. I mean like no one has the guts to do that. I got another story for you... On July the fourth it's gonna be Trey's birthday and I didn't know what to give him, thats why I've been thinking about it all morning until 7:40 in the morning and I wrote a letter for him until 9:30 am, weird right. I even laughed while writing the freaking paper. I wanted to search for a brown envelope , you know the big one. And I couldn't find it, so I used the small white one instead. I suddenly realized that my heart was racing face and I was too excited. I didn't wanna make such a fuss about it so WHATEVER.
So here I am, sitting in the living room doing nothing and it's already 14:33 pm and I got nothing to do but type on this.. telling you about my life and such which is interesting [ I think?]. And I think that's it.

We're cool- page 4

I woke up around 3 pm and lie on the bed for awhile, thinking about life and I have no reason why. I watched Angels and demons with my cousin Matt, who was actually asleep when I came downstairs. It was an awesome movie I thought I was gonna flip. SERIOUSLY. When it was over, I went online for awhile and sat on the golden chair , I lay my head on the arm of the chair and did nothing but stare at the laptop. I then quickly opened my windows messenger and clicked my cousin Peaches for some help. I was trying to ask her if she wanted to eat out today but she changed the subject and I replied and didn't change it just yet. I asked her again if she wanted to eat out and she replied " NO! OKAY! JEEZ!!" with a roaring voice in my head, imagining if she really did yell at me.
I didn't wanna say anything anymore and I wanted to switch off my laptop and play another disc. Instead I saw Trey online and Harry. Not Fred. " Babyy" Trey typed with a smiling face. " yes?" I asked and giggled. I didn't wanna sound rude " what are you doing?how are you? where are you? how was your sleep? where's your cousins?" he typed, " hahaha hold on, I'm doing nothing but trying to watch TV. I'm good, what about you?. I'm in the living room and my sleep was great plus I'm with Matt" I typed and laughed alone like a complete idiot I am.
My legs shivered and I noticed how cold the living room was, so I turned off the air conditioner.
I lay my head on the arm and daydreamed for awhile. I imagined myself flying and floating with wings coming out of my back, I thought I was about to fall but I didn't. Binxes woke me up and shook my shoulder, " Ari! Ariana! wake up! your dreaming" she said. " WHAT?! am I dead?!" I woke up shaking, " no, your not I just said you were dreaming" replied Binxes and I said " Oh, good" and sat back up. She asked me to tell what happened in my dream and I was, but I was to tired to tell her every single bit and every part of it that it won't come true. I want it to come true though. ' I want it to come true please do' as I said in my head. I didn't move and so I sat down and shut up. It's 21:13 already and I listened to my cousins singing they're favorite song on the karaoke and now I'm typing like hell.....

We're cool - page 3 ( Matt's birthday, 27/06/09)

Everybody came over for the birthday party of Matt. Fred and his gang ( BROS), Fifi, Nat, Cangas, Binxes, Peaches, Jazz and so on. I invited my friends Lil and Lisha. We listened to Michael Jackson [ REST HIS SOUL] rock with you, blame it on the boogie and such. I love him. My uncle gave me his old ticket that was dated ' December 31 1996, 21:30'. Isn't that awesome. I helped my Uncles work on my mum's old room yesterday and I had alot of fun getting to know my mum more. Its like her not telling me that she had a life before I was born, and me getting to know who was my real dad. Well, I get to that later. Anyways, When we were at the party; I hung out with alot of people. My old friend, Nis and her best friend Musfira came, and I may have to tell you that was Matt's crush that came over. laughs. After playing my laptop I decided to mingle with everyone and I was bored. We all sang the birthday song to Matt and I was standing next to my two snow whites [ Lil and Lisha]. Next thing I did was to plan the game. The game is called 'Pictonary', and trust me its a freaking fun game to play with your friends and family. You readers should try it. Okay, when we all finished the game, my team, the GREEN TEAM WON!.
Later on I re-opened my laptop and played alone in the living-room. I keep on seeing Fred staring at me, I had to stare back at those wondrous eyes. But I know my limits and thats enough. I listened to some songs that nearly made me cry and went online. I chatted to Trey for a bit and that was it, I told him that I'd sign in my ipod since my laptop was running out of battery. I tired going on my Ipod but it keeps on rejecting me to go online. I hate it when it does that. I waited for the right time to go online and used Fring instead. Me, Fred, Matt, Jake and Cangas stayed in the living-room and played our Ipods and such. Fred and I had this eye contact and I couldn't stop staring, seriously, I giggled and did some stupid things and yet he didn't care but stare. I thought he looked good and I couldn't stop biting my lower lip. He kept staring at me and it made me smile alot. I didn't want to make everyone realize that we were staring again and again, that'll be weird. sigh.
It was already 12 and his little brother came in the house and told him to go home. Fred was panicking because his thought that his dad might yell at him or something but he had a change of mind when Matt and Peaches came out with him.
I sat down silently as my mother came in with a strong face. I keep thinking that she'd yell at me straight away and I'd cry alot with tears making my shirt wet. Instead, she made me pick up things on the floor and clean out the red carpet living-room. So now here I am typing...

We're cool - page 2

I got up and slept on the couch. I woke the next morning, figuring out that I was on the bed. I wondered how did I get up there. Well, things have their ways I guess. I haven't talked to Trey for awhile since he's sick and all. I really hope he gets better soon. I miss him, DARN!.
My friends Alif, Kamaliah, and Tribby are celebrating their birthday today. And I greeted them already at facebook.
Fred came over today and I didn't realize that he was sleeping on the other couch behind me. I saw his bag though, I thought he went outside to skate or something; instead he was sleeping peacefully. Like a baby he was. Why am i smiling? ha ha, nevermind that. Matt woke him up to check what time Fred wanted to go home. "3:00" he replied in his sleep. Matt, Jake and I were the only ones up early in the living room. We watched "Johnny English" and thats how bored we were. sigh. Binxes ask for Rattlesnake to me. I thought she was over him, since she got a new boyfriend and all. Oh yeah, we went too a party last night. At the palace., I wanted to meet my old friend. 80. He's an old friend of mine when we were schooling at JIS. And everything was cool. We talked about field trips and all, showed all the old pictures. That was fun. He even played the piano for me, that was kind of him. My other cousins hung out with her friend who lived there too. Anyways, back to the subject. When Fred woke up, I thought to myself, ' WOW, does he really have to be that hot right now?' and I didn't stare at him again. He stood up tall and I told him to wash his face because he looks like he just got ran over a truck. And he replied " no, its okay I like it like this" in a deep voice. I suddenly got the shivers and Matt had to change his shirt. He had the chance to sit next to me, I wanted him too. But I was talking to my friend on msn. ' But nevermind him' I thought to myself. ' you've got to concentrate on your studies first then him' I had to take a peek at him and let it go. then that was it.

Chapter two- We're cool

I finally spoke to Fred. Thank you Reggie for helping me. We're cool now and all is good.
We just had two birthday parties and it was alot of funny. Cangas had her 13th birthday and Fifi had her 21st birthday. After that we played pictionary and my team got second place. The teams were red, green and blue. I was teams with Nat, Jake and Nico. And we were the Blue team. Secondly, the red team was Fifi, fifi's boyfriend, Mat and nat's boyfriend. Lastly, the green team was Binxes, Jazz, Cangas, Dani and Nena. The room was filled with laughter and we couldn't stop compiting with each other. Even though I'm sick, I still get the chance to come second.
I came online cause I told my cousin to play my laptop.
Nothing interesting going on, just random people. Then suddenly I saw Trey come online. I jumped with glee!. But then he went offline in a second. I was angry and frustated. I didn't wanna be mad at him but it was hard to control it. I kept on sneezing and my chest hurts so bad. This sucks. My Aunt came and we all stood up and greeted her. I went offline and for a few minutes later I went back online. I saw Fred and Luke online and I can't wait to talk to them. Luke talked to me first, he wanted to show me his picture that he just made at Myspace. It looks like he was smoking on the Bong. It was awesome. I thought I was gonna scream! sigh, but I didn't. Then I spoke to Fred, I asked when will he get his book that he left at our house. He said on Monday. Then he signed off. " THAT WAS IT?!" I spoke to myself. And everybody thinks I'm a lunatic. I chuckled to that point. I looked at the photo that Luke took. I commented. I was laughing so hard that I couldn't breathe anymore. Now I'm sitting in the living room, staring at the people who are playing rock band and singing Paramore. My ass started to burn. I thought I was on fire and I sang my heart out and laughed so hard, then I fell down....

It was only a dream - page 6

I sat up straight away. On the news, two people caught the swine flu. I got scared. I'm afraid if anyone in OUR family caught it. But I pray to god that it won't happen.
As I calmed myself down, Binxes asked me if I wanted anything from McDonalds and I chipped in. When the food arrived I thought to myself ' why did I even order this?' and I laughed to myself. My cousins think I've gone mad or something. I finished my meal early and I didn't wait for the others, so I sat down on the couch and went online. I thought that Trey was online but he wasn't so I waited. Instead, I was talking to Reggie. He typed " I miss the old you Ariana", " I miss her too but I don't remember much about her anymore... tell me what you remember" I tested him with a cunning smile. " funny, talkative, imforative and so on" he typed.. I was happy. I smiled so wide that I think I was gonna hurt myself. My cousins called me to play pictionary with them. I was about to close the laptop until Trey came online and typed " Babyy". I felt bad cause I was thinking about Reggie and I just wanna make him happy. I told Trey that I'll be right back and later I gotta study, and he said okay. Some won, some lost but it was okay,
I then took out my books and studied. My cousins ask me and Binxes some questions and we understood and some of them we don't. I went online to see if Trey was still online, But instead he told me that he was fishing with his brother-in-law. I was like the second time he told me that he was fixhing and I smiled and did a little bit of giggling. I felt sleepy and I wanted to sleep.
I felt sorry for Trey, I felt sorry for letting him go online and not telling him I love him and kiss him goodnight. I just wish he'd be here right now to say I love you

It was only a dream - page 5

I sat down in the living room next to my cousin, Jazz, we watched 'Madea goes to jail'. sigh. Such an amazing movie to watch. I laughed at the parts where she acted like a bitch. Which was awesome. I then suddenly felt bored, I went online and saw Harry. I wanted to webcam with him. The last time I webcamed with him was when the Indonesian actors went home and we had another holiday. The three of us, Peaches, Binxes and I, webcamed with him.
When the first time I saw him I thought he was the type that likes to make fun of people like me. You know, lame and all. But when I realized talking to him is easy. He's my kind of people which are awesome.
Harry webcamed with me. I had a big smile on my face. I saw him, wearing that white and blue hat with that striped shirt of his and glasses. I chuckled when I saw him. He thinks I look nice, and I giggled with glee. Around 4:30, Harry had to sign off, he had football. So, I waved goodbye and signed off too. After that I was really bored, I called Jazz to take pictures with me in the photobooth. We made funny videos and laughed our head off. I wanted to post them up in YouTube but it seems like I hadn't got the time.
Cangas came back from tuition and wanted to play her laptop again. So I gave her that laptop and curled up on the chair. I felt sleepy and I had my green blanket. So, I fell asleep. I woke up with a smile on my face ( as my cousins would say). And stared at something horrific.

It was only a dream - page 4

I felt a gush in my stomach, I felt like I was about to throw up. But knowing that he's never gonna be with me forever makes me feel alone and afraid what the real world is gonna be like..
I woke up with a rush of a thousand knifes thrus upon my head. It feels so bad. I wanted to cry. But I had to be brave. I went online on my laptop and searched for Fred, he was online. I had to tell him again I was sorry. But I wanted to wait until he was about to say something to me. I don't wanna be to desperate.
Cangas came in my room, she came back from school. Then Matt. Then Binxes, I wanted to be alone at that time, but it seems like they won't let me.
I dialed Trey's number and wanted to tell him to come online. I missed him. So much. I accidently woke him up. He sounded so tired. I thought to myself ' gosh, I should've not called',' maybe I'll call him later'. " hello?" he said, " hi baby, are you sleeping?" I asked gently. "Not anymore, what's up?" he questioned, "Nothing, can you come online.. I don't want my mum to know that I'm talking to you on the phone; She'll get mad" I told him. Then we closed the phone and chatted on msn.
I didn't want to wait any longer for Fred to say anything to me, so I told him " Hey, look.. I'm sorry. It's all my fault. I shouldn't have started all this. I shouldn't have told you that I liked you. I'm jackass. I am. No need to say anything else, I know your right. We can just continue our lives and forget this all happened" I typed. And he didn't say a word.
After that I took a long shower and thought about what I just said to him. I felt calm and relaxed now. I didn't want anything to ruin this day. Smiling is all I need to do now.
And now I know how to be stronger in what you are supposed to do. I finished my shower and lay down on the bed. my body all drippy from the shower and wet. not wearing anything but the towel. I turned on the song that my friend made me ' Ariana's lullaby- kiss the rain by Yiruma'. It made me smile and this shows that I am happy being like this.

It was only a dream- page 3

I stood up late thinking if I would find a way to say I'm sorry to Fred. Instead my cousins and I play pictionary. Binxes, Peaches, Cangas, Jazz, Fifi, Nat, Matt and I first played pictonary we all had our laughs and silliness. I could stop laughing because they kept on winning and we kept on winning too. After that we were thinking of another game we could play, But what? So, we decided to do actionary. Fifi and Nat did the first round. It was funny, my team won that round. Secondly, it was Peaches and Matt. We won the second round again. And it was so funny. We didn't even realise it. Then, It was my turn. I had to do it alone and my card says " claw" I can only wonder what I can sound with my hand. I chuckled to myself. Womdering if I would look silly doing that. I stood up and giggled for abit and did the action. Then, Peaches yelled out "CLAW!" and I pointed to her with a huge smile on my face. We won that round again. My team won the whole thing and the other team didn't even made a ,ove on the board.

We all played until 2 in the morning and my voice was starting to hurt real bad from screaming and laughing to much. I suddenly felt sleepy and I know it'll make my mum mad. So, I played my guitar and sang ' don't forget by Demi Lovato'. My cousins watch as I played peacefully.

Did you forget that I was even alive?

Did you forget everything we ever had?

Did you forget, did you forget about me?

Did you regret, ever standing by my side?

did you forget we were feeling inside?

Now I'm left to forget about us..

But somewhere we went wrong,

we were once so strong,

our love is like a song, you can't forget it.

So now I guess, this is where we have to stand

Did you regret ever holding my hand?

Never again,

please don't forget, don't forget..

I stopped at that part. My heart fell as I suddenly thought about Fred. I didn't wanna continue that sad, sad song. I told my Mother that I wanted to sleep and I kissed her goodnight. I had to finish writing letters for my friends who were schooling at london, instead I emailed them. I mean I didn't have a pen that time and I was lazy to write. Lastly, I closed the laptop and switched off the lamp. I dozed off, looking at the ceiling and started to dream again.

I dreamt that I was holding hands with Fred and I Trey looking at me, angry, I felt scared. As if he was gonna hit me or something. But he didn't. I blinked and all of a sudden he wasn't there anymore.

It was only a dream - page 2

I then sat up and called one of my cousins, Jazz, to sit with me in the living room. I like her. She's fun to hang around with when alone. We played games for hours on the laptop and that shows how bored we were. I often think, why I even play the internet. I mean like come on; The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that interchange data by packet switching using the standardized Internet ... And thats all.

My cousin, Cangas, came in wearing shorts and a cookie shirt. " Yo cangas where are you off too?" I asked constantly, " I'm going out with fifi, we're going jogging at the park" she replied with a crazy looking face. " I feel like going but I'm not sure if I wanna leave this spot right now, it feels so nice and I was just starting to relax" as I lay down on the couch, all crumped inside the blanket. Then I thought for a bit. ' Should I go? Or should I not go? maybe I should? no, I don't wanna leave this spot. Do I?' I was talking nonsence. So I decided to go, what choice do I have. I mean I gotta do some excerise sooner or later. I chuckled to myself as I changed my shirt.
Fifi, Jazz, cangas and I were in the car and sang the ' lets get together' song in parent trap (1961). It was the most fun I ever had with them. We jogged around the park for 3 or 4 rounds and sat down. In the middle of jogging I kept on thinking about Trey and Fred, I was about to cry for some reason, But I know I gotta be stronger than that. As we left the park, I sat down in that black car, thinking about what it would be like if I lived my life the right way.

But then I stopped the daydreaming when we reached the house. I took a long shower and felt relaxed in the tub. I wanted to sleep but then I know it will make things worst. So, as I went downstairs, I called my cousins to come open my laptop and make me go online. I talked to Fred, he didn't seem happy to talk to me about anything at the moment. " tell me honestly" I typed too him, " hi, no I don't find you annoying" he typed back, "really?" I replied, " well now is not the time, cause you always push me to talk to you" he typed back to me. I suddenly couldn't say anything left. I nudged him and he said " whaaaat, I'm here", " are you mad at me?" I asked curiously. " No? why would I?" he questioned. " I know your still thinking on how your gonna end this thing we have, you know its better off if you say it to my face instead of chatting on msn, it feels weird" I replied to him. " I thought we did end it" he said., " yeah we did, what about what happened yesterday? Did you really mean that? saying that you shouldn't ever leave me and all that crap you pulled off" I typed furiously. " well yeah, until I thought about it again" he said. " I really think we should end this Ariana, I'll just feel like a jerk whenever I'm liking you more and more" he replied sadly.
" no, your not gonna be. Your a good person, your not a jerk, an asshole, a douche, not even a bitch" I texted him. " If I wanted to be more than friends it will make me even feel like a jerk, I don't wanna use you" he replied. " what do you mean using me? you never did" I asked.
" I'm sorry:( " he said. " I have nothing left to say to you, I'm gonna block you, and I don't wanna talk to you for awhile and goodbye" I typed and blocked him straight away.

I felt really bad and I feel so guilty. Doing that to Trey. Why would do that? I feel like a jackass. Putting everything on my back. And doing the walk of shame.
As my cousins sing kareoke, I sit down, wearing a mask and listened to a song. 'Don't forget by Demi Lovato'.

Chapter one- It was only a dream

I ran pass every vase I saw, every window and every staircase. All I had to do now is stop, but I couldn't. I thought to myself; ' why aren't I stopping?' Suddenly I realized that I was dreaming, I tried to wake myself up but I couldn't. I wanted to cry out loud. I wanted to hit a wall. Then, I woke up.

Everything became a blur. The smudgey look-a-like face was staring at me, I wanted to sream but I know that'll be wrong. It then asked me " are you okay?" with a strong deep voice, " yeah I'm good, just had a nasty nightmare" I replied softly. I rubbed my eyes and sat up, I saw my cousin facing and staring at me weirdly. I never knew what happened until I looked at myself at the mirror. I shocked myself and giggled nervously, I had saliva on my cheeks. I got up, wash my face and brushed my teeth. I walked around the house for abit to see if anything new happened lastnight. I felt tired and my back hurts. I lied down on the red couch and tired to relax for abit, but I couldn't. All I could think about is that nightmare, I thought about why I was running, who I was running from. I shook my head and closed my eyes.
Iwoke up with a sudden jolt in my body. I had the same nightmare. But this time I could hear a man laughing at me while chasing me. Don't get waterlogged when we've got the stuff to make your summer sizzle....

1 Hold a Skee-Ball tournament with your pals at the arcade. At 25 cents a pop, the fun 'n' games won't break the bank. The champ gets all the prize tickets!

2 Make a summer scrapbook. Include everything--even the little stuff. The price tag from your fave sundress, amusement park ticket stubs, photo booth pics of you and the crew and vacation postcards are all awesome additions to your book. It'll be a summer you'll never forget.

3 Grow a green thumb! Purchase some packets of flower seeds--cosmo, poppy, sunflower (unsalted, of course!)--and plant them in your own garden patch. Tending to your sprouts will keep you super-busy, and it's oh-so satisfying to watch as your blooms blossom.

4 Rent a tandem bike for a day. It's a bicycle built for-two. Grab a pal, hop on and pedal off for some good laughs: Yeah, it's goofy.... So what?

5 Get a cool deck of cards, and enjoy tons of fun playing Butthead, Blitz and Blackout with your pals. Don't know how? Check out www.pagat.com to learn these and other games--and a few you can play by yourself, too.

6 Do some flower projects. Pluck a few wildflowers from a field, and press them between the pages of a phone book for about two weeks until dry. Then, use them to decorate stationery, picture frames, bookmarks, whatever. Surprise friends and family with your flower creations--just as nice as a bouquet!

7 Head for the nearest gumball machine. Now, get four gumballs for a buck for you and each of your girls, and have a contest to see who blows the biggest bubble.

8 Speaking of bubbles... Hit the kiddie section of the dollar store, and buy a few bottles of soapy bubbles. You're never too old to blow bubbles!

9 Buy some zany sunglasses, and wear them in public. They can be ultra-glam, ultra-goofy, ultra-big, ultra-anything! The trick is to find a pair that really attracts attention. You're guaranteed to have an ultra-hilarious day!

10 Play the claw machine two times for a buck. You knaw--the one in which you try to pluck prizes with a mechanical crane. Yeah, it's usually a waste of money... but it's sooo irresistible!

11 Fly a kite on a windy day. Haven't flown a kite since you were a tot? You're missing out! It's not easy to keep that thing gracefully floating up there--but that's what makes it challenging! Fly your kite on the beach or in an open field, where the wind is often at its strongest mph.

12 Turn into an expert. Pick a topic you're really interested in (like surfing, Linkin Park, Paris, butterflies... whatever) and spend a little time each week researching it online. By the end of the summer, you'll practically be an expert on the subject.

13 Go backyard camping. Call your pals, pitch a tent, grab some sleeping bags, and head out your back door. OK, you'll have to forget about the campfire, but that's no reason to forgo the traditional campfire songs and tales. Have a blast sleeping under the stars-while enjoying the indoor plumbing just steps away!

14 Become a bookworm. Make it a goal to finish off a certain number of books this summer. Pick a genre you've never tried before--biographies, sci-fl, historical fiction--and then stake out a few reading spots. Climb a tree, stretch out on the porch swing, or even curl up on the couch on a rainy day.

15 Decorate your tank top. Start with a solid-color tank, and then go all-out with glitter, beads, crystals, markers, you name it. Personalize your shirt to reflect your unique style. Think of it as a summer souvenir!

16 Have a water fight. Get all your pals together, and designate teams. Then grab your water guns, water balloons, buckets, hoses and whatever else you've got...and ATTACK

17 Catch fireflies in a jar. Make yourself an all-natural lightning-bug strobe-light lantern for the evening. Don't forget to throw in a few blades of grass and poke holes in the lid. Just be sure to let them go after a few hours!

18 Become a volunteer at your local nursing home. Your electric smile and enthusiastic personality will have folks at the local home uplifted in no time. Spending even an hour a week playing board games or just talking with residents whose families can't (or don't) visit makes a big difference in their lives. Oh, and the stories they tell!

19 Start a cool collection. It doesn't matter what you collect--just pick something you like, and go for it! Sea glass, shells and bottle caps are popular summer collectibles. Or be a collector of something totally unique, like ceramic cats, funky bandannas or vintage buttons. To get into the collecting groove, visit a local museum and check out its collections for inspiration.

20 Play tag--in the rain. Why stay indoors just because the sun's not shining? Nothing screams summer like a game of soggy tag. Running around in the rain (um, as long as there's no thunder and lightning!!!) is a great way to cool down.

answer em' please

Why don’t they make Root Beer flavored ice cream? Try to make out shapes and see if your subconscious is trying to send you a message (perhaps that funny shape is saying, ‘send all your money to urban75.com’?)

See how long you can hold a note
(Amusement Potential: 4-20 minutes)
Not that much fun, but it sure passes the time. Play with a friend, or try to beat your own personal best. Inhale deeply and then try and make a noise for as long as you can. Earn extra points for making your partner laugh or ending on an amusing note.

Try to not think about penguins
(Amusement Potential: 1-5 minutes)
This is especially hard, because by trying too much, you remember what you were trying to avoid thinking of. If you try too little, you end up thinking about penguins anyway.

Use your secret mind power
(Amusement Potential: 5-10 minutes)
Pick a passing by and try to use your mind power to command them do something, like drop their bag or knock into someone. The law of averages dictates that sooner or later one of your mind commands will come true, so you can convince yourself that you really have super human powers and waste even more time trying them out.

Pretend you’re a robot
(Amusement Potential: 1-3 minutes)
Walk down the street with mechanical movements, adding ‘zzzzzt’ sounds with each motion. Pretending to have a motor broken in, say, your left hand can add at least 30 seconds more entertainment.

Scratch yourself
(Amusement Potential: 1-3 minutes)
Go ahead, scratch yourself now. Even if nothing itches, go ahead. Doesn’t that feel pretty good?

Rate passers by
(Amusement Potential: 10-15 minutes)
Secretly award passers by marks out of ten as you go along, offering (unsaid) expert criticism over their clothing, hairstyle and footwear choices.

Repeat the same word over and over until it loses its meaning
(Amusement Potential: 1-3 minutes)
Pick a random word out of a magazine and say it aloud to yourself until it becomes a meaningless set of noises.

Pinch yourself
(Amusement Potential: 1-3 minutes)
What is pain? Why is it unpleasant? There’s nothing physical about it - it’s all in your mind. Plus, after pinching yourself for awhile, boredom will seem nice next to being in pain.

Try to swallow your tongue
(Amusement Potential: 1-2 minutes)
There’s not much to say about this one. It is possible, but really stupid.

Pretend to be a car
(Amusement Potential: 5-10 minutes)
Make appropriate revving noises in your head as you walk along and add a racing commentary as you pass strangers in the street. Use blinking eyes as indicators for extra authenticity.

Make Star Trek door noises
(Amusement Potential: 1-2 minutes)
Stand by an electric door to a bank or something and make that silly “Scccccccchwop” sound heard whenever people popped on to the bridge to hang with Captain Kirk.

Look at something for awhile, shut eyes, study after image
(Amusement Potential: 2-5 minutes)
Another great time waster. It takes about 30 seconds of staring to create an after image, and the image is then viewable for about the same length of time. Fun to combine this one with pushing on your eyes.

Get yourself as nauseated as possible
(Amusement Potential: 5-10 minutes)
Best achieved by looking straight up and spinning around. Try to be so dizzy you can’t even stand up. This is also entertaining due to the “makes boredom seem a lot better” effect (see “Hurt Yourself”).

Invent a weird twitch
(Amusement Potential: 5-10 minutes)
Adopt a bizarre twitch (e.g. flicking your head irregularly, twitching with eye or busting out sporadic cough noises) and try it out when you go shopping.

Make a low buzzing noise
(Amusement Potential: 15-30 minutes)
Hours of fun in libraries! Keeping a totally straight face and looking nonchalant, make a low pitch humming/buzzing noise and see who reacts.

Things you can do with very little

See what’s in your neighbour’s rubbish/trash
(Amusement Potential: 20-30 minutes)
You can learn a lot about people by what they throw out. You might uncover some dark secret about them. Plus, they might be throwing out something with value that still works, like a VCR or some porn mags.

Watch TV, repeat everything said in Italian accent
(Amusement Potential: 5-10 minutes)
Sort of entertaining. Include flamboyant shoulder shrugs for added impact, or go for a Marlon Brando set of grunts.

Send spooky emails
(Amusement Potential: 15-60 minutes)
Look up someone’s CV on the web, do some research on them via Google and then send them an email full of personal references claiming to be an ex-work colleague who fell in love with their shoes. Or something.

Play our useless games
(Amusement Potential: how long have you got?)
Waste away the hours with our collection of useless games

Make prank phone calls
(Amusement Potential: 20-60 minutes)
Very entertaining, but requires discipline. Remember - vulgarities don’t make a call funny, but getting the other person to believe a ridiculous story will. Try seeing if you can get them to make noises to ‘test’ the line. One to get you started off: Call McDonalds with weird complaints about their food.

Pretend all humans will die except for people in room with you
Amusement Potential: 10-20 minutes)
What would you do if this really happened? Would the group stay together, or would there be factions? Who would join what group? Remember, there would only be power for a few days before the plants ran out of fuel or broke. To travel, you would always have to be near cars to siphon gas out of. Best to do with people you know.

Step off a curb with eyes shut, imagine it’s a cliff
(Amusement Potential: 2-5 minutes)
To get any benefit out of this one, you have to have a good imagination. Don’t step off immediately, build up to the jump. Study the ravine below. Feel the winds at that altitude. Step off and…AHHHHHH!!!!!

Try and sound Welsh
(Amusement Potential: 1-3 minutes)
The key to sounding Welsh is to make sure that your voice goes up at the end of the sentence, so that everything sounds like a question. Throw in a superfluous ‘isn’t it?’ at the end of everything you say and you’re halfway there. Isn’t it?

Burn things with a magnifying glass
(Amusement Potential: 5-30 minutes)
Ants are always fun to use for this, but burning the face of someone you don’t like, under some circumstances, can be just as entertaining.

things you can do with another person

Have a water gargling contest
(Amusement Potential: 5-10 minutes)
Put a glassful of water in your mouth and see how long you can keep gargling for. It’s never seen the tops of counters, what you keep on your desk, the tops of shelves, etc. Try looking at things from its point of view, too.

Pull out a hair, stick in someone’s ear
(Amusement Potential: 1-5 minutes)
Best done to sleeping people. For an even bigger reaction out of the person, act like you’re not sorry at all for what they think you did. Comment instead on how big that sneeze was or about how there was a lot of mucus in that one.
